I grew up in the publishing world with my mother being both a writer and illustrator. Books were ever present in my home and so was all the work that goes into them. So it felt only natural for me to continue on with books.

I was always fascinated by what goes into making a story come to life. And it is mostly a lot of work! Work that pays off in the end!

I love to help writers do this work, encouraging the strengths of their stories and the unique voice that is all their own.

While I was born in Germany and am Berlin based now, I spent the majority of my life living in the USA and UK. I still speak English at home with my husband and daughter, which is why I think of English as my first language even though I am a native German speaker.
